MANCHESTER + LEEDS · AUTUMN 2026
Art, music, food and conversation for queer women in Manchester.
Violet Hours is a new event series for sapphic and queer women who want something more considered than another night in a bar. Our first evenings in Manchester and Leeds are now open for booking — intimate gatherings around live music, wine, shared tables, artists, and conversation.
Manchester and Leeds have brilliant queer nightlife, community groups and grassroots events. Violet Hours is being created as an additional space.
This is for queer women who want culture, company and atmosphere without everything revolving around clubs, dating apps or late nights.
Our first two evenings, hosted in Leeds and Manchester. Places are limited and booked through Eventbrite.
6:30pm – 9:30pm · The Domino Club, Leeds
£7.21
From 11am · Chetham’s Library, Manchester
£15.34
More evenings are being announced through the autumn — join the mailing list to hear first.
The wider world Violet Hours is building, season after season.
Every Violet Hours evening is designed with solo attendees in mind — interactive hosting, communal seating and natural ways to meet people. You do not need to bring anyone. You will not be left standing at the edge of the room.
Our first two events — a sapphic jazz night in Leeds and a private library tour and lunch in Manchester — are open for booking now. They are small, intimate and intentionally hosted, the beginning of a season of cultural evenings before we grow towards a larger summer gathering for queer women in and around Manchester and Leeds.
Violet Hours is for sapphic and queer women in Manchester and the North West. You might be single, partnered, newly out, long out, new to the city, returning to queer spaces, or simply looking for a different kind of social calendar.
You do not need to come with a group.
You do not need to know anyone.
You just need to want to be in good company.
Sign up to hear first when new events go on sale, along with artist, venue and programme announcements from across Manchester and Leeds.
We would love to hear from queer artists, musicians, makers, performers, wine people, chefs, venues, photographers and creative collaborators who want to be part of the Violet Hours world.
